Community Outreach – Midnight Ukulele Society's Non Profit Organization
Virginia Ukapalooza (EIN: 81-2936490) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization with a mission to promote the ukulele by conducting ukulele related community events, educational activities, and charitable donations of instruments for the Central Virginia community. Virginia Ukapalooza is operated exclusively by volunteers, which are members of The Midnight Ukulele Society.
Since its formation in 2023, Virginia Ukapalooza has performed the following community outreach activities:
Organized and operated an annual Virginia statewide ukulele festival with the theme “for Virginia, by Virginia”
Purchased ukuleles and accessories for multiple Central Virginia schools to supplement their existing school music curriculum
Maintained/restrung ukuleles for Central Virginia schools in which it provided ukuleles to
Taught free ukulele classes at Central Virginia schools in which it provided ukuleles to
Purchased ukuleles and accessories for the Henrico County Public Library system and conducted free ukulele classes at multiple libraries in the county
Performed ukulele centric concerts at retirement homes, senior centers, and community events in Central Virginia
